The Story of Doodlepark

Our story begins when we got married. We purchased a beautiful male Bassett Hound who would join us in our new home and our new life as husband and wife. We loved him so much that we decided that we should get another. So just after a year of being married we purchased a female. We had so many requests for puppies we decided to take the plunge. The puppies were a hit. In 2001 our first son was born. Shortly after taking him home from the hospital we realized he was very allergic to our Bassett Hounds. We did not know what to do. Our new baby was spending more time at the doctor than at home and it was all because of our dogs. So with tears in our eyes, we had no choice but to find them new homes with some friends.
We always pictured having dogs with our family and we just figured it was not going to happen. Not to mention my dream of one day having a golden retriever. Then we stumbled upon our first Goldendoodle. We could not believe what we were hearing. A Golden Retriever without shedding and no serious allergy issues? We started researching the breed, temperaments, intelligence, obedience, shedding, allergy concerns, etc. Finally we were convinced that a Goldendoodle would be the perfect dog for us. As breeders, we knew exactly what we wanted. It took us 2 years to find the perfect Goldendoodle. He was not large but not small; his temperament was calm, gentle but playful. He had the wavy coat with beautiful gold coloring. He was the one. After purchasing our "Yankee" we were in love. Our family continued to grow. We had twin boys born in 2005 and our family was coming together. Everyone kept asking where we found this awesome dog but the people we bought ours from were no longer breeding. One of our good friends owned a beautiful young, champion bloodline standard poodle named "Celine." While keeping an eye on Celine for a few weeks at our house, our kids fell in love with her. I explained that she had to go home soon and to not get attached. Well when Celine finally went home, we received a call that she was depressed and not her perky self. Apparently Celine grew just as attached to our kids as our kids did to her. Due to some medical challenges our friends asked us if we would be willing to adopt Celine. With excitement we said yes! We not only loved Celine but we now had the perfect opportunity to create the most beautiful and perfect temperament Goldendoodles. We also learned with Goldendoodles that a second generation (F1B Goldendoodle) would ensure even more of the hypo-allergenic non-shedding qualities that were so important to so many.
After our first trial litter we realized that we had more than a great dog... we had the perfect dog. All the puppies were amazing. As breeders, we take pride in how our litters are raised during the 8 weeks we have them. Not only is Mom and Dad around to show them the ropes but they are also being socialized with our children from day one. We also work very hard during their time with us on potty training. We do not crate train, we actually teach them to go outside and go to the bathroom. 90% of our adoptive families have called us and said that their new puppies had little to no accidents in the house within the first month of being home. The other 10% would have had the same success but admitted to doing a poor job following through when the puppy came home. Now all these years alter the demand is high for a doodlepark Goldendoodle. We are very blessed and hope you have the opportunity to own one of our incredible dogs.
